Why is my Molly always hiding?

rkeehn547

Hey everyone, around 2 months ago I moved a molly and platy from a 5 gallon into a 20 gallon community tank. Ever since I moved the fish, I noticed that the molly always hides in the back of the tank out of sight. She’ll only come up for food and when I go near the tank, she’ll get scared and move back to her hiding spot. The platy that I moved into the tank is completely fine though. The tank was completely cycled when I moved the fish in and I have been maintaining proper water parameters. I do have some other fish in the tank including neon tetras, harlequin rasboras and Cory catfish but the molly is the only one that’s always scared. She was never scared before in the 5 gallon tank, only after I moved her. Why is she acting that way and is there a way to make her less scared? Thanks

Your molly may benefit from more mollies. They generally want to have other mollies around - ideally 1 male & 2 females.
