i have seen that my male apistogramma borellii is eating frogbit's roots? I have nice long roots and once he was introduced to the tank he ate all of them. Only male, not female, anyone has similar experience? Any way to stop it? And why only male?

Does it eat his fish food pretty well? Only other thing would be that he just isn't getting enough food. Other than that I think some fish like to munch on the roots. I haven't heard of apistos specifically doing that though.

I feed them twice a day, variety of frozen and dry food, I don't think is hunger, but I'll keep monitoring him. Thanks:)
