Why does my bamboo shrimp look like this?

Bamboo shrimp just molted this morning and as it was swimming around after the molting, I noticed it’s side looked like this... what is it? Will it be ok??

Looks like a piece from the molt got stuck....

Not sure if you can help manually remove it...

the piece that is sticking off looks like it shouldn’t be coming off, it’s got the brown stripes and the molt that came off looks white/clear.... looks like the shrimps ‘skin’ I know it’s not called skin but I can’t think of what it’s called, anyway it looks like the shrimps ‘skin’ is peeling off...

Hmm keep an eye on it I guess. Make sure GH is not too low, make sure it is eating enough. Bamboo shrimps generally have a hard time surviving in aquariums because theres not enough food particles in the water

What your looking at there are the shrimps gills, the chitin the old carapace was stuck to the new one in that spot ripping the new soft chitin away exposing the gills,
This is normally down to water conditions,parameters,
It's now very important to keep your tank very very clean with regular water changes, you also need to check all your perameters and adjust any that need to be to come in line with what your shrimp require.
