Why do angels chase only their own?

  1. Andrew Sackett Member Member

This is just a random question, I've never seen my angels bother any of my other fish but their own they do sometimes take interest in my BN pleco when he sucks on the glass but other than that I've never seen aggression towards my other fish I do have all bottom feeders besides the angelfish but they peck at the sand a lot after feeding. So please give me your thought on why they only chase each other

It could be a dominance issue especially if you have two pairing up they'll chase any others away

Mine chased Black Widows as well, but it defo has to do with dominance / picking order. What are the tank measurents and how many Angels do you have ?

No there is one boss angel that will chase the other two off i think they are too young to pair up
