Why did you choose your username?

Hey guys, this is just a question I've had for a while. What made you choose your username? I see some people with usernames that are mostly numbers and stuff and I wonder how they remember them. I chose my username because it is my betta's name. Just wondering. ;D

 

Mine's a childhood nickname. Good question though. I'm interested as well.

Lol I chose mine because the older I get, the less creative I become Kristyn is my name it's certainly a lot easier to remember than something random

Mine is a pet name for my cat Claude, pardon the pun. I don't like it much as a username but I have never come across a forum where it has been taken so I only have to remember one username for any forum I may join. My name is Liz - a bit too common to not be taken on most forums

 

I'm afraid mine's boring too! lol. I'm Mikey, and Mikey Doodle comes from a name someone calls me when they email me. Their emails always start "Dear Mikey Doodle Noodle Doo" ;D

jerI is what my family calls me. my sister gave me this nickname a long time ago, though she has no idea why she chose it! lol. but my husband calls me jeri, not my real name. I have a nickname for all my family as well.

Because "RabbitPuncher" was taken on Battlenet 10 or so years ago.

I like Bunny better anyway so I'm glad it was. I've been Bunny pretty much everywhere I go on the net, including here.

I have had the handle bubbly nutter since I was about 12. It's my email addresses, MSN, forum names, everything. I am a nutter, always have been, and I have a bubbly personality! And I used to run around saying "Bubbles"! I have a warm spot for the yellow fish in the tank in Nemo...

Mine was my xbox live gamertag at the time

Diddo, X-box live made me change my old tag name (because it was controversial back then), then I switched it to FredBjammin which was originally my IM name from like 13 years ago. Then somehow my gamertag got taken away from me again by the time I signed back up with x-box live again when 360 came out. So to keep the name going, I used it for this furom.

So basically I've been recycling the same 3 names since highschool, just easier to remember, wow that's sad!

In 6th or 7th grade for whatever reason one of the kids in the neighborhood was trying out his Jamaican impersonation, so “Frederick” or “Fred” got changed to "Fredjammin’ " and for whatever reason when I answered back to him the first time he called me this, I said, “no mon, it’s a Fred be jammin’ mon”……… And that kind of stuck through until the whole internet thing came out. It was a lot better then some of the highschool nicknames they gave me!

 

Hmmm...unlike how my username is normally InsectBoy...I wanted something more appropriate for FL. So I chose that noxious weed that's currently taking over my aquarium: Elodea. And that's my avatar, too. A photograph of my wall of elodea in my fish tank all boxed and scrambled up so it looks cool.

Now I suddenly realized that calling myself "Anacharis" would have been better, because for some odd reason, "Elodea" sounds mildly feminine...

Glad you said something, I thought that was an very elegant name. I was thinking it would be a good name for my daughter if I ever had one. Now that I know it's a weed, wow I sure dodged a bullet on that one. LOL
