Just started
new to saltwater and trying to figure out a stocking list for a 20 gallon reef. Thinking about having a clown in there.
But why do so many people recommend a pair of clowns when talking about stocking? Are they less agressive in a pair? More lively?

Honestly they do okay either way (particularly if they are captive bred), but a lot of people prefer the dynamics of having a pair and getting to potentially see things like mating behavior, they do tend to be a little less aggressive as a pair unless babies are involved.
