Question Why Can't I Find These Cichlids On Aqadvisor?

1 - Lethrinops Red Cap
2 - Placidochromis Jalo Reef
3 - Placidochromis Gissel
4 - Placidochromis JohnstonI
5 - Aulonocara Rubescens (Ruby Red Peacock)
6 - Aulonocara StuartgrantI - chiwindI (Blue Neon)

Isactually missing these species or are there other names for them?

Yes, all Africans and I believe they all max around the same size

It wouldn’t surprise me if they were missing. Aqadvisor seems to be missing a bunch of different species, but as long as they’re all the same genus then you can substitute it for an available name.

I'm not sure how often they can update their data, but it is missing a few exotic strains and/or species uncommon to the hobby. There's also outdated scientific names for some species, too. I can't blame them, I'm not sure if they're dedicated still and/or if they have the means to upkeep the site.

Strains aren't exactly going to differ much from eachother- and wild stock - so I do imagine that they aren't included.


Even then, it's normally good enough that you can 'swap' it out with another species of the same genus and get similar results.


(Aqadvisor tends not to be the best for stocking guides anyway, and would use it sparingly)

I'm pretty sure all it has for Africans is just mbuna. So just plug in mbunas, maybe peacock
