Why arent my mystery snail eggs hatching??

So I have 2 clutches of mystery snail eggs incubating in a Tupperware container with a lid in top with holes in the lid, the egg clutches are on very damp paper towel in the Tupperware container. One clutch is 3 weeks old and the other is a week and a half old. Tank is at 78 degrees with a lid so their should be plenty of warmth/condensation. But my problem is the 3 week old clutch doesn't look like it's maturing/developing, I don't see the eggs changing color or spots in the eggs that would be baby snails...also this past Tuesday I had a clutch that I removed because it was 4 weeks old and never changed at all so I broke it open and the only thing inside was gooey jelly like stuff...are my clutches just not fertile?? Am I doing something wrong?? Yes I do know that I have 1(probably 2) male snails in with 2 females and I see them mating all the time...so why aren't my clutches maturing/hatching??

Some may not be fertile but all of my clutches (that actually hatched) took about 3 weeks- but I have also had several that weren't fertile and looked exactly what you described as being jelly and gooey. Below is a pic of what my clutches look like after about 2-3 weeks (an infertile one & a fertile one). That is how I know which will hatch and which won't. The fertile one, you can see the grayish color of the babies.

You are doing everything correctly to get them to hatch if they are fertile.. Maybe give them some more time? I do know that the lower the temp, the longer they take to hatch. Is there something else you can put them in that is a little warmer? Or maybe near a window that gets a lot of sun?

Also, good luck! I hope some will be fertile and they hatch for you and you have a million snail babies!

Usually if after three weeks you don’t see the grayish color or a black dot inside, they aren’t fertile or just aren’t going to hatch. Mystery snails can reproduce pretty re guy regularly so I think you’ll eventually get a batch
