Why Are Some Plants Illegal?

I no longer have it but I have shipped it. Wrap in damp paper towels and then double bag in ziplock baggies.

Beware, it is illegal in some states , including mine, which is why I no longer have it. You can’t have it, ship it to there, or ship it out.

Thank you for that info yay Ohio didn’t make it illegal!! Whyyyy are plants illegal btw? Does anyone know?!

Plants can be invasive and outcompete native plants, they spread too fast and choke out life in the water they inhabit.

It means pretty much when you purchase one. in couple weeks it will be spread allover your tank or pond.. I use it in pond only for one reason that fish can hide from large birds. also in pond over winter water lettuce will die..

So if I add 1 to my tank it’ll take over?? Uhhh let me rethink this lol I only wanted a few. I thought the stems looked cool hanging down I don’t want to cover the entirety of my tank tho!

Red, blue, or purple root floaters might be a better option in that case (personally I can't keep any surface plants like dwarf lettuce or even water hyacinth alive).

Thanks. I’ll check into the colorful floaters I have some floating hornwort that’s been doing really well. But want a little variety!

You can always just remove what you don’t want.

This is true I was thinking like 3 of the large lettuces and a handful of the dwarf would look cool floating in a corner

There is chance they won't do well in aquarium anyway I have try it and done it (no luck) because they do like high sun and colder water and once water drop below 60 they will die. .You should look in to some hardy water lily I think you would have more fun with them..
