I have a question, I have a pineapple sword tail and an orange sword tail both males. I am worried about my orange sword tail, the pineapple pushes the orange one out of the way during feeding, he hides in the house and waits for the orange one to pass by and buts him.
I am worried that my orange swordtail will die he looks very thin while the pineapple swordtail is huge. What should I do? Please help anybody!

Also notice my shrimp under my pineapple swordtail, that's Brutus and I have Samson got them when they were babies, they have molted 5 times so far!

Remove the bully male. You need 2-3 females for every male.

If you get females you will be quickly overrun with fry. They are livebearers and breed like crazy. Also they have a significant bioload so adding 6 females may overstock your tank unless you currently have a large understocked tank.

I think the OP is gonna just keep the none bully male.

they have swords so they will fight.... lol jk (my bad joke for the day) lol

what size tank do you have? if you have a big enough tank I would add some females in there that would definitely help but like mentioned before you run the risk of have tons of fry and overstocking your tank.

I'm not sure what size your tank is, but my experience with swords is that they can be aggressive towards the same sex. I had two females and ended up taking one back to the store because I got tired of how aggressive she was towards the other, smaller, female.

really? I think they are pretty peaceful fish like most livebearers in my opinion. I think if you keep 1 male and 3 female you should be ok.

Knowing the size of your tank is very important to make sure they have enough space to swim around and be happy. Otherwise you will have very unhappy fish in there which can explain why they might be a little aggresive towards the other ones
