Why are my plants turning yellow and brown?

gabray47

I have a 20-gallon freshwater. Anyone have advice about why my java fern, anubias, and jungle val are turning yellow and/or brown? They've only been in the tank about 5 days. I've attached pics.

I just purchased Aquarium Coop's Easy Green and dosed 40 drops this morning, and I got some of their root tabs and added them in the sand substrate around the jungle val. I've been turning on the light for about 6 hours per day.

ammonia 0 ppm
nitrite 0 ppm
nitrates 0 ppm
ph 7.5
temp 79 degrees fahrenheit

shrimpscaper

It might be that they're acclimating to the new tank or that they have emersed growth dying off.

I suspect shrimpscaper is right. I don't think 5 days would be long enough for them to react to any deficiency in the water in your tank.

Okay, great! I will just give them some time. Thanks again to you both!
