Hi all! I have 6 male guppies in a 20 gallon tank, which is lightly planted, filtered, and kept around 80 degrees. My guppies have started pointing straight up and down and wiggling in one spot for periods of time. I've had them for several months, so they've acclimated to the tank, and they all get along pretty well.

pH: 7.2
Nitrates: 5 ppm
Nitrites: 0 ppm
Ammonia: 0 ppm
KH: about 110 ppm
GH: quite high, over 200 ppm/12 dH (could this be it?)

Okay that's good then! Helps rule out one possible problem. Do you notice if they are breathing rapidly? Would you happen to have an airstone/bubbler? They help add oxygen in the water and personally, my guppies whole attitude changed when I added one.

Maybe? To be honest, I'm not sure what that would look like, lol. I'm not sure I'll be able to afford an air pump set-up right now, but I have a waterfall-type filter, and I can increase the flow to get some oxygen that way. Thanks!
