HI all,

I found these eggs attached to a watersprite in my tank recently and I'm trying to figure out whose they are!

Yesterday, they were completely clear and today they developed a black "dot" in the middle. I moved it into a breeder box to observe. I thought it was bladder snail eggs, but I also have Columbian and Yellow Tail Congo Tetras in there. As you can see, there is a clear membrane around the eggs. The eggs themselves are quite small.

Snail eggs. Fish eggs do not have the jelly coating like frogs and some snails do. Also, the fish species you have are egg scatterers and you won’t find them in bunches like that.

Ah ok. Thanks! I wasn't quite sure and haven't seen any tetra eggs yet, so I was a bit hopeful. I think the livebearers are chowing down on them possibly...
