I'm looking to get one of these for my 5.5g tank. Who do you think would have more personality and be more fun to have?

Any additional info you have for any of them would be appreciated, or any additional opinions on something I don't have listed.

I voted for betta simply because they have such a huge range of personalities they can have, but if your asking what I think would be the most fun. Then I'd say pea puffer, I haven't personally had them but have heard great things about them and I just see them being more fun than a betta in 5.5g.

That's kind of the main two I'm stuck between too lol. I just want something that will not be skittish or shy

pea puffer. Our lfs had one on the counter that used to look at everyone who came in.

neither of those should be once they settle in and with lots of plants they should get settled in quickly enough. I'd personally go with the pea puffer, its different than what everyone else has and would be quite enjoyable.

Betta I taught my baby girl to jump out of water, boop my finger and swim through my hand

Honestly, I have to say I'd go with a pea puffer. I love bettas, but I really think that pea puffers are so cute. I was devastated when I had to give my girl up (the water was too hard for her in my area, but I still get visitation rights).
