Who ate my frogbit roots

So I got beautiful frogbit in the mail yesterday with all the roots intact. I come home from work just now, and most of the roots are gone! So who do you think did it:

My betta (they were near one of his nap spots so they could have annoyed him)
My peppered cories
My ghost shrimp (who I know are carnivores)
My bladder snails

I also have a nerite but I have a new piece of cholla in the tank that hes been eating from for the last 24 straight hours so I don't think it's him.

I have since moved the frogbit across the tank away from my bettas nap spot in case it was him.

bladder snails could be the culprit here, unless you are right about the betta being annoyed.

It's possible some of the roots could have melted if their brand new to your tank. Most plants will go through a transition from the water it came from to your water. Once it adapts they should be fine. Usually a week or 2 or 3.

I also briefly wondered if it was melting. The leaves are all in good shape, so as long as they stay healthy, I won't be too concerned.

It was me...I was hungry, sorry lol...
In all seriousness it was probably just melted or the roots snapped in transit and the snails polished it off before they rotted. It'll bounce back usually
