Who are you and what did you do with my husband??

So, Cami, my betta girl has had a tumor for a couple of months. She's in a 10 gallon and I want to cut down on the energy she exerts to get around the tank.

emanluke and rae64 (thank, you two!) told me that petsmart carried 3 gallon tanks (not a kit).

I tell hubby I'm going to get out to get one and he insists he's going with me.
What's that all about? lol
Anyway, I told him the tank was at one store, the filter I wanted was at another, there's a new fish store I wanted to check out and walmart has a 5 gallon kit I wanted to look at.
Mind you, I live pretty rural and these stores are about 45 minutes away.
He still wanted to go. I told him he could come but I didn't want to here any moaning, groaning or whining. lol

So he takes me to petsmart, I don't see the 3g, but they had a little 2.5 with lid. He buys it for me. Off to the next store, the new one. Not impressed, fish look ill and prices were high. We head to petco for the filter and fish food.
Buy 2 frozen food, get one free!!.
He buys me the filter (hagen minI elite) and the food. They had a 5.5 tank, really cute, but no hood or lid, oh well.

Husband says, you have everything you need right? Welllllll, while we're out this way lets stop and look at the 5 gallon tank kit at walmart.
He takes me to walmart and buys me that tank too!!!
Plus lunch out

Hmmm, he looks like my husband but.......
No whining, no moaning, no groaning...what's with that?

All this for someone who has:
1 Large kritter keeper 1 young ADF
1 medium kritter keeper with an even younger ADF
5g with the mama and papa ADF's
5g Scarlett, betta girl
10g Cami, betta girl (who will be moving)
10g Red Cherry Shrimp
10g 4 Serpaes
20g Guppies and Cories
30g, 2 Sparkling Gouramis, Cardinals, Glow Lights, Pygmy cories, snail
20g long with 1 Guppy and Sparkling Gourami (kicked out of the 30 by the other sparklers who were spawning) and a baby Cory

1 empty 10g
1 empty 20g
1 empty 30 gallon long
2 empty 55g's
Oh and an empty 5 gallon hex that I hate.

I'm glad you were able to get the stuff for Cami. I know she will be grateful to you for the reduced stress.

Hmm... hopefully, you can buy one at Walmart... I have to go to a discount store, ya know, since all my extra money goes to the fish.

Wow Lucy, sounds like you've snagged yourself a sweetie That's great, but what the heck are you doing with all those empty tanks lady? Get to filling them!!! Lol Are you possibly thinking another betta for the 5 gallon?

Oh and I just had to point out that not to terribly long ago I was the one with the MTS problem. Hmmmm..;D

My husband complains all the time, but he really does like the fish and frogs.
He talks to them all the time.
I'm not sure which tank I'm going to move cami into.
I really like the shape of the 5 gallon tank kit from walmart.
It comes with the same filter as the 10 gallon kits. If I use the filter, I'll have to slow down the current. I might just use the minI elite even though it's rated up to 3g.
I forgot I don't have a heater small enough for the 2.5.

I had been complaining that he doesn't show interest in my hobby.
He did go visit a friend for a couple of days, but after 20+ years of marriage
he surely didn't need to sweeten me up for that.

LOL, this is nothing, several members have many more.

Hopefully I'll have a couple less soon.
The baby ADFs (2 kritter keepers) and the parents (5g minI bow)
will be combined into a 10 gallon once the little ones are big enough.

The 20 long, I call my misfit tank. My accidental cory baby is in there along with a Lyre tail Guppy and Sparkling Gourami that got shoved out of the 30.
