White Thing Sticking Out Of Betta

For the past six months or so, my betta has had this weird little white nub sticking out of the bottom and I can't figure out what it is. I'm worried it is parasites but it's been so long. I have finally gotten a photo of his waste before the shrimp steal it. Sorry it's so blurry but it looks like a regular orange lump but it had curvy white things stuck in it. Is something wrong with him?

Don't know a lot about bettas, but believe this is a female with a egg spot and totally normal , so probably not a parasite, unsure about the waste though.

Yup that's an egg spot in the first photo.

Thanks! I thought she was getting sick. Quite the surprise as PetSmart sold me a male...

Glad you're feeling better about her. Usually the big pet stores have little or no knowledge of their stock and requirements. She looks very happy though.
