White Spots On Severum Fins

HI All-
I just noticed that 2 of my severums have white spots on their fins. I hadn’t noticed these before. See the pics attached. I’m questioning if this is Ich or some other sort of bacterial issue. Thoughts?

Also, forgot to mention in last post that I did go ahead and put some Melafix in as a precaution.

Here’s a better close up. It actually appears that they do have some spots on their bodies. Maybe more definitive that it’s ich??

It looks like Ich....looked the same on my goldfish fins, then suddenly more dots appeared. After I heated the tank up my Moors were COVERED with tiny dots.

Thanks Carolyn. After I saw a few on the body I figured it was. Any suggestions on the best product to use for this? There are so many...

I can’t get rid of this stuff. I’ve tried tetra Ick Guard tablets, API super ick cure for the last week and it seems to be getting worse not better

You should be following the instructions to the letter. Some medication requires you to do daily water changes. Also do you run carbon in your filter? If you are you should remove it and start the treatment again.

Fashooga- I actually did leave the carbon filter in, which I shouldn’t have done. I removed it. Did a 30% water change and just added to regular filter floss to my HOB filter. I also switched to using Paraguard from Seachem. However, I now have a new concern...I started to notice these strands floating around the tank. Do I have a parasite issue going on you think??
