Hi All, posted this yesterday but haven't gotten any responses. I would really like to know if anyone can tell me what may be going on and what I need to do about it. I apologize for the duplicate post

Tank

What is the water volume of the tank? 40 Gal Breeder
How long has the tank been running? 6 weeks
Does it have a filter? 2 Marineland Penguin Pro 275
Does it have a heater? Yes
What is the water temperature? 74 ish
What is the entire stocking of this tank? (Please list all fish and inverts.) 2 Black Moor Juveniles

Maintenance
How often do you change the water? Weekly
How much of the water do you change? 30%
What do you use to treat your water? API Stress Coat (well water no chlorine)
Do you vacuum the substrate or just the water? Vacuum every other water change

*Parameters - Very Important
Did you cycle your tank before adding fish? Yes
What do you use to test the water? API Master Test Kit
What are your parameters? We need to know the exact numbers, not just “fine” or “safe”.

Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 10
pH: 8 ish

Feeding
How often do you feed your fish? 2 x day
How much do you feed your fish? Probably too much, clean up after a couple of minutes
What brand of food do you feed your fish? Repashy Gold Gel Food
Do you feed frozen or freeze-dried foods? No

Illness & Symptoms
How long have you had this fish? About 2 months
How long ago did you first notice these symptoms? Two days ago
In a few words, can you explain the symptoms? White spots on tail fins
Have you started any treatment for the illness? No
Was your fish physically ill or injured upon purchase? No
How has its behavior and appearance changed, if at all? No

IMO, looks like a few tiny nicks w/ fungus attached. No worries, clean water & a little time should heal it up. Fish with long delicate fins have a tendency to occassionally snag the fins on aquarium decor.

Thank you. I'm keeping an eye on it, he doesn't seem to be affected by it. I've tried to make sure their decor is safe. How long do these things generally take to heal?
