White Spots On Bettas Head Help

    A month ago i realized my betta had a small white dot on his head. Now theres more. I have no idea what it is.
    I do weekly 25% water changes
    Hes in a 20 gallon with 2 other bettas divided off.
    Ammonia 0
    Nitrite 0
    Nitrate 20
    Ph 7.0
    Temp 78°

    His fins look kinda messed in the pic but they're not :) any thoughts would help Screenshot_2019-07-06-18-07-34~2.jpg

    He may have scraped himself on something. I would check your decor for anything sharp.

    His pectoral fin looks frayed. Leads me to believe you may be dealing with bacterial infection.

    It definitely looks like something is growing on him. My gut tells me its fungal, especially since it seems purely superficial and seems to be spreading radially, but I don't know for sure. Do the other bettas show any symptoms?

    Fyi mild antibacteria-antifungal med combo are available. Seachem Polyguard is easy to use, and may be effective for milder problems. Even kanaplex+furan 2+ malachite green can be used together as in tank treatment and 30 minute daily bath.

    You might have bacteria in the water.

    Or he hit himself against something sharp.
