White Spots - Ich on Fry?

Hi, everyone,

Noticed my singular cory fry at the moment has some tiny little white spots. Looks a bit small for ich, but you can never be sure. Not an emergency and not too concerned, because it's only one fish in the tank and it's less than 2 weeks old, so it won't be a loss if I lose it. It's more a concern of how long I need to wait before I collect more eggs.

Admittedly, the temp dropped in the grow out tank this week because it's been so cold, and my apartment can get drafty. I bought a better heater for my 30g and moved one of the old ones to replace the small heater in the grow out tank (didn't rinse, but the grow out tank gets some water from the main tank with every water change, so I don't think that was the issue). That 1 day that the temp was at 68-70 could have done it in, though, since it's so young.

I know how to treat ich and will treat the fry accordingly. Just wondering if you think this is it. The white spots are also on the botcanicals and the sponge on the filter in the tank. Haven't seen ich off of a fish before, but there's a first time for everything. Thanks!

Isn't it sand?

It is not. I have a bare bottom with botcanicals and moss balls for the babies so I remember to clean them frequently. Could possibly be remnants of first bites, but it's weird to me that it didn't come off when it put itself between the leaf and the wall to chill. Its swimming fine and acting normally.

Update: Seems to have fewer little spots now, but not completely clear.

Will do. It's very strange. Tried to find it in the tank before feeding today, but it was hiding. I'll check back later. I watched the first bites that didn't sink settle onto the filter, and that sure could be what the spots are there. I recently sold my older batch that was in there, and they always took care of cleaning the sponge off. I just won't know for sure until I see the fish itself.
