Hey there. Let’s see who can look at this.
Discus-Tang Goldiemom Rtessy Mary765 could y’all look at this please?
Questions. Is it fuzzy? Lumpy?
Have your water parameters changed recently?
Tank mates?

It could be columnaris, hole in the head, and or poor water quality. If I recall correctly you didn’t know your water parameters, right?

Could you possibly (believe me I know how hard it is) get a closer picture?

I think OP did a good job explaining it, looks raised from the side and indented from the front, its a patchy white spot a little larger than the eye.
OP, what water conditioner do you use?
How often do you do water changes?
How long has your tank been set up?
And how long have you had this fish?
Thanks

Could he have injured himself in the tank?

I don’t think this is HITH disease. The photo is a little grainy. It’s likely two things...it’s a start of a bacteria infection or he ran into something and got a wound.

I’m leaning towards the latter and think it’s a wound. I would see about doing a water change to help promote healing. If this wound gets bigger and or fuzzy than it’s a bacteria infection.

Thank you.
If it’s a wound, you can swab it with 3% hydrogen peroxide, mblue, betadine to make sure it doesn’t get infected. Just make sure you don’t get any in the fish’s eyes or gills. A damp swab and just dab it couple times a day.
