White fuzz secreted from snail shell?

I'm definitely glad to hear they're doing a little bit better at least. Follow whatever advice CindiL has given regarding the water, she's amazing with water quality concerns. If you are using Prime for your conditioner (sorry, don't remember what conditioner you're using), it protects against up to 1 ppm ammonia and nitrite for 24 hours, so as long as your numbers are under that and you add it daily, you should be ok.

 

How are they today?

 

They both passed away a few days ago.. My ammonia never went over . 25 and my nitrite was at 0 and mg nitrate never was over 15. I'm so so devastated..thinking of maybe trying out different snails or something.. I love these little guys and I waited over a month for my two new babies, just to screw up and have them pass in less than a week. :'( I feel so bad I wanted to help their shells and give them good homes.. I use top fin water dechlorinator. I would like to look into getting prime though for the future. I'm just gunna keep running my empty tank, keep with the cycle until I go home, hopefully I'll go to my lfs and see what they think with the snails.I love these guys but if I keep killing them then I don't really think I should put them through that..

 

I'm so sorry to hear that they didn't make it Maybe once the tank cycle is done, they'll do better.

 

Yea that's what I'm hoping. I'm going to keep an eye on my pH during this last week at school to see if it's fluctuating. Once I'm home I can make snail jello too. I feel so bad. But thank you to everyone, especially bithimala for helping me so much over this last week. Means the world. I'm hoping to have better luck next time
