White fuzz on mystery snail

Hello, I have a golden mystery snail thats been having a lot of babies. This week I noticed that a bunch of them have some white fuzz looking stuff right on back spiral of their shells and I can’t find anything online that tells me what this is. I’ve read that mystery snails can delevop white fungus spots on their shells and some people have even seen floating fungus around their shells, but this seems to be different. Not all of them have it, and the ones that do don’t seem to be sick at all, they’re eating and moving around the tank. Any idea what the white fuzz is and what could be causing it?

Welcome to Fishlore! :)

To be able to find an answer for you we will need a picture. Is the fuzz raised up or is it flat? Like maybe it just bumped it shell on something?

If they are having a lot of babies, my guess is that it is sperm that got stuck to the shell. With mystery snails it has a white fuzzy appearance and I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s hanging around if there is a lot of reproduction going on.

Hi is in white fuzz coming out of my snail not sure about what snail I have it might be a mystery snail and I am very worried about him or her because he hasn’t moved or went on the glass for 3 days but I know he is alive because I seen him poke out and in his shell when I added food in he doesn’t eat it and goes back in his shell and the white fuzz is scaring me because more and more grows out of him and I take it off with the net so if anyone could tell me if he is sick and how I can help that would be great here’s a picture

Take it out and smell it. If it stinks bad it's dead. You will know. If not it may just be poop.
