HI Friends,
I'm turning here as a last resort. I've had my 90G freshwater tank up and running for 10 years. White dots began to appear on the aquarium glass about a year ago (I pushed a bunch of them together when I was cleaning the tank to show what they look like in the pics). Before that I introduced a baby blue severum to the tank about 6 months prior - not sure how anything suddenly got in my tank. I'm decent with my water changes, I use purigen, and I have a big HOB filter and a canister filter. Water parameters are all normal.
I've treated the tank with Seachem Paragard numerous times in the last year and also given my fish numerous rounds of Metroplex treatment. I've raised the temp into the high 80s and I move between high 80s and high 70s... when the temp is lower I feel like the white dots multiply. I haven't been able to get rid of the white dots and this week my 7 year old Convict fell victI'm to the disease (she had a white growth on her fin and she started to lay on her side and not move much). I have a 10 year old Blood Parrot and a 1.5 year old Blue Severum, they shake sometimes which tells me that something is wrong with them. My Blue Severum has a white growth on one of his fins... otherwise no visible signs of parasite on their bodies but they shake a lot.
Can anyone help me identify this disease or recommend other courses of treatment?
