I would like to have a tetra species that eat from the surface so the tank doesn't get messy at the bottom.

Which tetras eat from the surface?

thanks

Many fish, when kept in an aquarium for even a couple days, will be smart enough to know that you opening the lid of the tank means food and will rush to the surface. Furthermore, most if not all tetras are pretty vigorous feeders and will devour any food before it reaches the middle of the tank!

Whats the size and current stocking of your tank?

It won't get messy at the bottom if you won't feed to much. Almost all tetras are midwater feeders by nature. There mouths aso aren't designed to feed from the surface.

Okay, if tetras dont eat from the surface, then what rasboras or dinos or any fish besides harlequin rasboras, which i already have, eat from the surface. Do chili rasboras or CPD eat from the surface?
