    I posted a Craigslist ad, and in the ad, asked for any inquiries to include details about their tank, to make sure the fish would be rehomed properly. Also offered to provide them with a water sample and photo of most recent API test results.

    Just a minor throw in: if you find a shop that will take them (mine does), you will get better value asking for a trade of your fish for dry goods rather than cash. Doing it this way makes it more a wholesale-wholesale transaction. This advise is more for if ever get into breeding your fish, or find yourself with a large surplus, as 3 serpae are not going to bring a large return in any event. Giving them to a good home is likely your best option. Good luck, rick
