Which size aquaclear for 29 galllons?

So I got the tetra power filter 30 for my fish tank when I first set up the tank when I didn't know about gph for filters. Now after learning about gph, I checked the gph rate for the filter I had on my 29 gallon aquarium. It was only 145 gph. So now I am looking to get a new HOB filter and I have heard great things about the aquaclear filters. So I checked to see which aquaclear is best for a 29 gallon aquarium, I found conflicting results. I found answers saying for the 50, and some for the 70. So which should I get, also I don't know of this changes the answer but if it does, the tank is planted.

 

You want an AC 70! You want 8-10x the gph of the size tank so you want a gph of at leas 240! An AC 50 has a gph of 200 and a AC 70 is 300!

Awh.. I had to euthanize my Honey gourami this summer
First time euthanizing anything.. it was hard..
His name was Curious George.. because the first day I got him he explored every inch on the tank! Lol!

 

I run an Aquaclear 70 and a marineland penguin 200b side by side. Lots of success.

 

I totally agree. The bigger the filter the better. A 50 or 70 should would perfect.

A50 is too small as mentioned, it only has 200 gph when you need 240!
