I was wondering if anyone could tell me what a good shrimp or crab would be for a 29 gallon freshwater tropical tank? I want one that's friendly towards my other fish. Thanks

Bamboo shrimp are commonly sold along with amano/algae eating shrimp. Look at your lfs to see what they have, google the name then you can expierement with the shrimp. Most of the time it depends on the fish's personality, angels and bettas are supposed to eat ghost shrimp, but they don't eat mine. Most crabs or no-no's or don't live long in Freshwater so no crabs.

And unless their pretty good size the shrimp might be lunch for your other fish.

It depends on the types of fish that you have. If you have smaller fish, then I would suggest ghost shrimp, but if you have larger fish, then I would suggest larger shrimp.
