Which NLS (your recommendations)?

HI everyone,
I'm about to place an order for salt, and thought I'd get your thoughts on which NLS I should get for my Freshwater Community.

I recently started on NLS Thera + 1.0mm pellets for them, but I think they're too big for my 'lil fishes mouths.

I have access to (excluding 1.0mm and above):
  • Flakes w/Garlic Freshwater
  • Grow Formula (0.35mm)
  • H[SUB]2[/SUB]O Stable Wafers

Community is BN, Tetras and an Angel.

Or should I just finish the 1.0mm pellets, they do sink, and the fish pick at them. But I'm thinking maybe they'd prefer to be able to swallow whole so to speak.

Any thoughts?

I'm not worried about 'wasting' the Thera+, as I can feed it to my Saltwater fish, I'm sure they'd love it

PS - I'm in Australia - Ken's is not an option

Hello Ryan,

I feed my Angel's and Blue Kerri's NLS Thera +A Small Fish .5mm sinking (although they are eaten way before they have a chance to sink). Very tiny pellets.

My Angel's like to feed from the top of the tank and so do the Kerri's.

I tried the NLS Med. Fish Formula 2mm Sinking Pellets, they actually did sink and everyone ignored the food.

Thanks Ken, I haven't been able to find the 0.5mm pellets at a reasonable price
The only LFS that carries them is twice as much as online....

I was afraid 1.0mm might be too big for them to eat so I went with 0.5mm to be on the safe side and everyone can eat it. I feed my angels and lemon tetras it exclusively and everyone is able to consume it. Can't find it here either I had to order mine.

Yeah the small fish formula for the small guys. Keep in mind that a little goes a long way as there isn't a lot of empty volume like there is with flakes. I feed both the small fish and 1mm...funny watching a small cardinal trying to eat a 1mm pellet

I use the optimum fresh H20 flakes for my endlers and they love them and you can crush them as fine as you need they also have garlic included too which is always good

I have the 3mm, 1mm and the .5mm for NLS.

The .5 is the small fish formula. Tetras eat them just fine
