I have a small 50 watt preset heater that keeps my 10 gallon tank ~24 C and I have a 200 watt adjustable fluval heater. I'm building a paludarium in a 30 gallon tank that will be about 1/2 full. I want to be able to "set it and forget it" haha! It will be behind/under a platform. Either will fit physically but I am nervous about the small heater running all the time or the big one being too much. I am putting only shrimp and nerite snails in there so 23-24 C is what I'm aiming for.

What do you think? The water will be flowing over the background down into the tank so I'm not really sure how that will affect the temp (cooling it more?)

If your still going to be useing the ehime filter you may be better off getting an inline heater. It will keep it out of the way and you will still be able to change it if need be.

    Hydor make a few.
