I have space for a breeder tank (36" x 18"). I need help determining which size in height. 16" (40gal breeder) or 19" (50gal breeder) or 24" (65 gal breeder).
I know that having more gallons provides more options for fish and possibly less hassle with managing nitrogen cycle with proper stocking. However, since the floor surface area is a common denominator (38"x 18"), is there really a major difference?
FYI, I have maintained a 10gal for one year...( 1 dwarf gourami, 4 albino corys)(I kno six cories is better and the dwarf gourami may enjoy a bigger tank) in the process, I have learned a lot, and am desiring to take the next step for a bigger tank.
