Which bottle bacteria is better for cycle a new Tank:
1)Seachem Stability
2)Fritz Zyme7
3)API Quick Start
Need help....??

Or Tetra Safe Start (TSS) or TSS+

 

I personally think tetra safe start is the best. Just remember this just kick starts your cycle it doesn’t make it instantly safe for fish

 

I used stability and my tank cycled in 3 and a half weeks. I don't know if I just got lucky or it really was the stability bacteria.

It wasn't cause Stability doesn't contain the right bacteria to cycle. Only bacteria that will keep the levels down temporary to let the natural bacteria settle and take over.
This is the case with most starters : they don't cycle, only buy time.

TSS is a different story

 

Whatever product you use, AT BEST it safes you a week of cycling.

There have been studies for a decade now, that show that there might be different microorganisms responsible for the cycle than many people think and for sure things are somewhat different than what the manufacturers are saying. In short: It's likely not Nitrobacter and Nitrosomonas that do the cycle, but Nitrospira and other Ammonia oxidising bacteria (AOB). The bulk though seems to be done by Ammonia oxidising Archaeans (AOA).

Btw: AOA are definitely doing the cycle in acidic water below 7.0 pH.


Edit: My advise for fish-less cycling, provided you don't want to keep hardwater species: Leaf litter and driftwood. The biofilm that grows on it starts the Nitrogen cycle producing ammonia while breaking down the material. The mulm and detritus then gets into the filter and there the magic happens.
