10 Gallon Tank Which aquarium - AquaTank, Eclipse or SeaClear?

Does anyone have any experience, good or bad, with the "AquaTank X Plus 10 Gallon" (), "Eclipse System 12 Aquarium" (), or "SeaClear 10 Gallon Flat Back Hexagon" ( I'm looking for a 10 gallon (or 12) because currently I can't fit a 20 gallon but would like to maybe have a corydoras only tank! The AquaTank costs much less than the others, but I'm afraid that the $100 difference means it must be worse quality. I'm also worried about the Eclipse because I've heard you have to replace the whole hood if the filter breaks, but I really like the concept of the biowheel. I don't know anything about the SeaClear. Help?

I don't have personal experience with any of those tanks but if you want an opinion here it goes:

Tank 1) Eh, looks ok but the heater it comes with isn't submersible. You'll have to be careful never to allow the water to get below the water line. It made of glass and could shatter.

Tank 2) Heard good things about the Eclipse. You've mentioned the down side about having to replace the hood. It's price is steep and doesn't include a heater.

Tank 3) Pretty hefty price for a 10 gallon without a heater.

Walmart carries a 10 gallon kit for around $50.00 add a heater and you're set for under $100.00. It doesn't have a bio-wheel though. They're made of glass so scratching wouldn't be an issue.

Thanks! I'll take a look at the Wal-Mart tank.

Edit: I don't see a kit online. Maybe it's only available in-store?

Last time I checked (yesterday), our Walmart has 55 gallon tanks with the starter kit (hang filter, heater, lighting, dechlorinater) for $109. I think the 10 gallon was far less. I believe its by Topfin in the store not on the internet. I was tempted to buy but another of the same isn't what I want. I want larger and If I go larger I'm going way larger. As the saying goes "In for a penny, in for a pound".

I saw a ten gallon kit in walmart for 29.99. It did not include a heater.

I think you have to go in the store though, because I was not able to find it online either.

I have an Eclipse 12 and am quite happy with it. There really isn't much in the filter to break, so I wouldn't worry about that. I ordered my Eclipse 12 from PetSmart and used my Discover Card to pay for it going thru shopdiscover.com and got 15% cashback. Plus they were having a free shipping promotion at PetSmart, so all told I paid just under $100.
