5 Gallon Tank Where to buy aquariums

Hi, I recently got a betta fish from my sister's school and he is currently in a holding tank. I would like to buy him a five gallon tank that is tall, not long, and preferably glass. I have been searching online and cannot seem to find one. I only want a tank, no kits. I am in Canada. If anyone can help me it is greatly appreciated. (BTW this is my first post so I hope I am posting in the correct place, forgive me if I'm not).

I think pet supplies plus sells 5g tanks, and I believe they are just a smaller version of petsmart/petco. Bu they don't sell tall ones I don't believe.

 

Petco sells them as just the individual tank. Maybe PetSmart too.

 

Hey, welcome to fishlore! If you don’t mind used tanks, browse through websites like craigslist, Facebook, even reddit for people in your area who might be getting rid of tanks. If not you can also look for local pet stores.

 

Can you get the Marineland Portrait 5 gallon in Canada?

 

Go to your local fish store!! The ones I've been to have tanks up to 75 gallon for prices very close to Petco and Pet-smart. Plus, they might know where to get the item you seek if they don't carry it.
Big Al might have something as well, I have ordered filters from them before and they are based in Canada I believe.
If you still cannot find a tank, you may have to go up to 10 gallons or 20. Finding non-standard size tanks can be a nightmare sometimes.

Sometimes Big Al's will have a 5 gallon tall tank but not always. Some Petsmart locations with bigger stores sell a small variety of tanks with no kits ive seen. Kijji and places like Value Village or Good Will is also another great place to look.

I agree with what others said before me. Check out Craigslist, FB marketplace, etc.
It might be easier finding a horizontal 5 gallon though. I would also recommend horizontal tanks for bettas

 

I just saw a 5g (Not kit) at walmart the other day, while I was yelling inside at all their useless garbage products.
