I'm ready to start making purchases and I missed the Petco dollar per gallon sale. Where can I get a good tank cheap?

Walmart has $15 tanks... Are they junk? Petco has $15 tanks too but I'm kind of bitter to pay $5 more than I would have a week ago lol.

If your trying to save money. You can find cheaper tanks on craigslist. Sometimes people will give them away free, and sometimes they ask more than they cost new. Knowing the retail cost can help you negotiate though.

Yeah I've already looked there. Everyone is selling dirty used tanks for $15 or more!

I just didn't know if there was really a difference between brands.

The $30 starter kit from Walmart actually isn't that bad I just bought one and I would say it's worth $30.

If it's just the tank itself you're looking for then you can definitely find them a more affordable a on Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace or even a dollar per gallon sale but if you're looking for the whole set up I don't think Walmart is unreasonable at all for what you got it's worth the price.

Petco. when they have dollor a gallon sales. I think thet are having one now. If you get a second-hand tank double check the silicone seals.

Yeah I am just looking for the aquarium itself (I'm buying or already have my own components). Unfortunately there's nothing secondhand around here going for less than that of a new tank.

Someone just told me that the aquarium brands don't make a difference (although I know the measurements can differ). So I think I'm just going to buy the next one that fits the canopy I want.

I believe it ended last week. I went to buy it online and pick up in store and it was no longer there! I don't know how often they have those sales but I am guessing not soon enough.
