Where have all the endlers gone?

Honestly who would have thought they'd be so hard to find!

I have got back into aquariums and thought I'd get back into endlers too as I adore them. I am looking for good quality, preferably N class, barred and flametail endlers. Apparently this is impossible. I agree the flametail are probably going to be hard, but where have all the barred endlers gone?

My LFS have "endlers" but they look K class to me, and not fantastic, so I'm not buying them. I'd love some A/B graded, purely because the barring looks better and the flame colouring in the tail looks better. Wouldn't be so fussed if I was looking for pearl or peacock, but I'm not.

I'm losing my mind here, I don't remember them being that hard to source last time

Sigh I am southern UK, so a local breeder would be fantastic. If I can't get great quality ones then I'll have to go with all males, but I have a minI tank that would be perfect for endler fry and I could plant it up with bacopa and weeping moss for them before selling them to LFS or rehoming them.

If anyone knows where I can find my beloved barred and flametail endlers please let me know. Preferably registered N class. But nothing that looks K class as I just don't want a guppy hybrid!

Thank you lovely people.

Oh and they'll be going in a heavily planted 65l tank with a minI plec. So all will be happy little endler fish

I got black bar endlers from Endler shop(California) and some red chest and centered peacock from Swampriveraquatics(Florida), I had to order them at summer time because they travel quite a bit to get to my place and had to pay for international shipping( No regrets, I wanted endlers so bad!).It's getting a bit cold out there and I don't know how long it would take for delivery from the U.S to U-K?

Thanks, I know of those options but the cost becomes prohibitive at over $100 plus whatever shipping things happen and customs fees and they would only likely send fry. Which I could deal with, but I'd prefer just males to begin with (I say that, but you know how it goes!) Bit extortionate for some fish (very lovely fish though!) It is a worst case scenario option I think.

It wasn't for me! I fell in love with endlers 2 years ago, wanted some so bad, start looking into getting some, none of the FS in my area had some or even knew what endlers looked like, I finally found a fish store willing to order some for me and I received...nice endler/guppy mix fishes ( nice fish though but orange with some endlers trait ) I had then decided to order directly from a breeder and wasn't able to find any in Canada, never regret to have paid around 120US to get healthy fry, I finally fulfilled my obsession

Getting pure Endlers in a pet store is almost impossible. You have be able to find another hobbyist in your country that has them. Are there any aquarium clubs in your area?

I know, hence the query as to where they all are! No idea about clubs, I know people in Europe and the UK have them, I just can't find them. Barred used to be the most common, so struggling to find those is surprising. I thought I would just struggle to find flametails

Have a look on aquarists classified for clubs in your area

Thought endlers would be more easy to find in the UK these days...
At certain events overhere I've sold several kinds of endlers to british people who've visited the vivaristic events where I've exhibited my livebearers.

So did I, they were hard to find 10 years ago!

I have found some peacock ones from someone in Manchester who was getting rid of them, originally from someone in the Shetland Isles. Not really the colour/design I wanted but some look to have the beginnings of swordtail colouration.

No idea where to get flametails from, LFS didn't even know they came in flametail!

I may have to import some from the USA at this rate!
