Where can i find some cheap, large, aquarium-safe rock?

I want a deep brown-colored natural rock to fit in between my two pieces of malaysian driftwood...

any ideas?

A landscape supplier. I'd recommend one but I guess you probably don't want to fly to Sydney to shop

Back on topic, any landscape supplier, nursery etc. I believe somewhere like Lowes might stock them.

You just need to make sure the rocks won't change your water chemistry. I believe quartz based rocks would be fine, but anything containing limestone is not recommended as it will raise pH levels.

If in doubt, you can always use the vinegar test. Using white vinegar, place one or two drops on the rock, if it fizzes, don't use it.

There are some people selling shales by pound in their backyard online!
Actually the so-called Seiryo(Green Dragon) Rock is recommended in iwagumI aquascaping but quite expensive!

Why don't you just look around in your backyard, along the side of the road when you drive, etc? Of course resort to the landscape supplier if you can't find anything.
