I have two female sword tail, both of them are pregent! =)

I think 1 of them pregent around 1 and half week and the other one almost 1week.

Does any one know how long does it take for the fry to come out?

(I put one of them in breeding box.. and the other one in tank. In case the fry will be eaten by other fishes)

We had a platy go thru pregnancy.. took her at least 34 days to drop the 1st batch, but she dropped the 2nd 23 days later, and the 3rd 23 days after that.

LOL!! Only 3 batches?? Ihave a female that's been popping out fry at least 5 per week for the past 9 months!!! And the male's been gone for longer than that!! LOL!! It's gotten to the point where I can't save them all....I can't have her in a breeder basket forever and don't have the room for a breeding tank......Nature unfortunately has to take it's course in this case.....

I'm not sure if she had any batches at the pet store and I could be wrong about her being out of fuel, but she seems to be done after just the 3 batches.

well, looking at Daisy's stomach after our trip.. I could be wrong. I thought with only 4 fry and 2 being stillborn that she might be done, but looks like a 4th batch is in the oven.

Unfortunately, this is the best photo I have of her - if she is still pregnant, I'll try to get some pics of her tummy and the little eyes inside. She's a tough one to get photos of - sneaky little platy. She's the gold twinbar, this pic is probably about 4 weeks before she dropped her first fry.

Yay! more little platys . My twinbar is different from yours. Yours has a yellow dorsal fin and mine is orange/red with a black spot on it. So far my mickey mouse platy is def my favourite. She has so much personality. I fed them some "earthworm spahgetti" today and they loved it.

I think you could feed almost anything to a platy & they'd love it.. those crazy little stomachs. LOL. Yea, I love how varied the platys coloring/marking is and they're just funny fish. The corys in their tank have learned to go after food fast when it's feeding time.
