Fun topic! Mine is not all that clever. I was trying to set up a 10 gallon but the kitty had other ideas. :cat:
I love it! My dog always tries to help, but he always tries to eat everything.
I love cats, but I do not have any. hehe
I'm a Marvel nerd, so mine is hulk looking grumpy If you can't read the text, it says, "the look you give when someone taps on your fish tank glass." I thought it was relatable!
HA! I love it.
Did you find that, or make it yourself?

Thank you Prism

Thank you Nighthawk
No problem!

Mine is of the Flying Dutchman from Disney's Castaway Cay island. My hubby and I went there on our honeymoon.
Wow! Very pretty.

What’s his/her name? Beautiful cat. I got a couple pictures of my cat doing the same with a 10g.

Thank you! We took him in as a stray. He was a beautiful loving boy. He was only a couple of years old when he passed due to a heart problem.
It's been several years but we still miss him.

Oh no! So sorry.
I've seen many strays out by my house.

View attachment 380664 I like my killies, even if they aren't popular fish. My picture is an Aphyosemion biteniatum from Ijebu Ode, outside of Lagos, Nigeria. I've kept this peaceful little species for going on to 8 years now. They live, breed and grow up in the same tank, a 20 gallon.
When friends or club members want them, I can always net out a pair or two. I keep a steady population of about 20 adults in their jungle planted tank.
This little guy was feeling pretty energetic, and decided to show off to the longer finned alpha when I was right there trying to get pictures. I like the way his fins and colours show clearly, and decided I'd show him off. Moments after the shot, the big guy (1.5 inches) put on an even better show, but those photos were out of focus.

I have unpacked this species when it arrived direct from Nigeria, and on wild specimens, the fins and colours are exactly the same as this young guy in the photo.

I have 1 golden wonder.

Your killI are beautiful. I would love to be able to do a photo shoot with fish like that.

He was a beautiful cat. It is always hard to loose a little one. Bandit, our 18 year old black cat took the long walk two weeks ago.

My profile picture is of Lemuge, with Bloodfin in the back. I ran around the tank, taking approximately 50 pictures, because they kept on darting away. Half of them were blurry, 1/4 didn't even have a fish in them, and this was the best shot I got. I was trying to capture the tiny 'sword' that Lemuge has at the end of his tail- I guess he's 1/8 or 1/16 swordtail!

My profile pic is one of my honey gouramis. His name is Lemonade. My honeys are some of my favorite fish. Lemonade is the least camera-shy fish in my tank, so I have lots of pics of him to choose from

Edit: Oops. Just realized that isn't the pic I have in my profile! Haha. Here it is.

I have millions of pics of my platies, they just won't stay still.

This is the best pic of my platy.

I love the bright yellow.
My question, what's that substrate? It looks very interesting.

My profile was my Xanthistic Pepper "yellow". I adopted him more dead than alive and managed to make him recover.
It died by an unknown infection some time ago. I've only seen two Xanthistic ones in my life, so quite special to me.
A real shame it died before being able to breed it.

The substrate is a mix of light and black sand. I originally had light/almost white sand in my tank (I think it was Caribsea Supernaturals, but can't remember exactly). I liked it, but found that it showed every little bit of detritus/debris. I decided to mix in black Tahitian Moon Sand, and the picture shows what it looks like now. Here's a pic that shows the whole tank:

This was my betta that I found at work. The ac unit was leaking and there was a bucket underneath it. Someone thought it would be funny to put a betta in the ice cold water.

I took her home and she survived, but her swimming was impaired and it was hard for her to get to the surface. She lived for about six more months.

That's sad but I'm glad it had a good home for the rest of it's life.

My profile picture is of a Common Pleco I used to have. These were the days before I knew the problem with keeping a Common in a 60-G. It has since died by being caught in a plastic plant. It caused many ammonia problems for me as a beginning fish owner and even more after it died and was hidden in the middle of the plastic plant in my tank for over a month!

I often change mine, but the one I currently have is Dalisay wearing a Santa hat and holding a bag, which he’s holding with his ventral as it looked better than it with his pectoral, and him wishing you a merry fishmas!

Thank you! He really surprised me with is colour tbh, when he was in the store he was pretty enough, but under the lighting was much duller(could be some stress too). When he went under my tank lights on the other hand, he looked as bright as the moon! In this photo he has a bit of a purplish tint from the dwarf lillies covering the light, but when he’s swimming around he’s just pure white.

My betta did the same!
He looks different under a finnex stingray.

My kid's Daddy doesn't let us go on opening night anymore either. I reluctantly agree... Can't be too safe these days. How long do you think it'll stay in theaters? Surely several weeks right? My thinking is to take the my son after Christmas. You know, to extend the holiday excitement.

Lemuge is actually a really nice platy. The little sword bump is common on the less inbred ones, and that patterning of tiny dots is one of the very old strains that was popular when I was a kid, the salt and pepper platy. I liked seeing him, as that strain never shows up in my local stores. That's how a platy should look!

my profile picture is my wild betta, found her at a pet store in a tiny half filled bowl

61DB34A4-C4CB-499A-BD9D-CD041350A206.jpeg

she has been living in a community tank since april. she isn't that interrested in aquarium food anymore- she discovered copepods in my aquarium and eats those. she gets food that rests on leaves and comes for bloodworms. she likes to hang out in my plants but I see her often.

Mine is one of my first "pair" of wild bettas. I got them from a local pet store that I will no longer shop at LOL and we never did confirm which species she and her sister were, (yes my pair was two females) but I got this one good shot of her. She was a bit beat up, missing one eye, and a terrible jumper which eventually led to her death.
