I ran up to my LFS today, to get an idea of what I want to re-stock with. I found some Black Ruby Barbs, and some Odessa Barbs. I'm re-thinking the Tiger Barb tank, and I'm thinking:
6-8 Corydoras (emerald/rabauti/pepper/etc..)
10 Black Ruby Barbs
10 Odessa Barbs
1 Bristlnose Pleco

Is this too much for a 38 gallon tank? I have plenty of filtration (AC110).

I kept both in a 65gal tank. They are fun to watch. Beware they do like to eat plants. As far as stocking I would go with 5 of each instead.

I have plastic plants, so that isn't a problem. Is 10 of each too many you think?

I also agree 10 of each is too many. I think 5-6 of each would be much better. I have kept and bred odessa barbs, they are great fish!

My Black Ruby Barbs are almost ready to go into the main tank. I'll be getting 6 Odessas next for quarantine. Is 77-78F OK for the Odessas? I've read whatever I can find on them, and I've seen some sites say low 70's is best and others say that upper 70's is fine?
