So, I've been keeping guppies for almost five years now, and I've always stuck to cheaper and self sustaining types of live food ( daphnia, microworms ect ). I keep on seeing and hearing everywhere that brine shrimp is the way to go, but I've kept away from hatching my own for two reasons: 1. Brine shrimp eggs are very expensive. 2. Hatching brine shrimp seem to take too much time, and since I work all day, it's hard to control how old the BBS are when I feed them...
So after researching for a bit, I came across what seemed to be a perfect solution, Decapsulated Brine Shrimp eggs. These eggs are supposedly highly nutritious, high in protein and Amano acids, very cheap, a perfect choice. But after researching a bit more into the subject, many people have said that decap BBS are hard to digest for fry... And dirty the water, which isn't that big of a problem for I will not feed that much.
So I want to know, has anyone used both kinds ( freshly hatched BBS and Decapsulated BBS ) and seen a dynamic difference? Has anyone found that the fish don't digest the Decap well?
Thank you!!!
