What's your clean up crew?

In my tank I have a Rainbow Shark (awesome fish) and two Amano Shrimps to be my clean up crew. This system works perfectly because the shark can be picky about what leftover flakes he eats. He only eats certain colors and sizes of flake. My shrimps, on the other hand, come and eat what the shark won't after the lights are out. They even use the same cave, the shrimps sleep in it during the day and the shark sleeps in it at night. It's a beautiful system! Tell me about your clean up crew!

I'm very interested in the answers to this too! Currently I have 7 juliI corys in my 16g, but I'm preparing to move them to my 35 as soon as it's fully cycled. I also have a couple ghost shrimp in the 16. I'm wondering what to replace the corys with once they're out of the 16, I was thinking RCS, but not sure if they will be sufficient? Do shrimp take care of algae and everything, or maybe I shoud add a snail? I like otos, but I think don't think I'm going to go that route this time, want something that has very little effect on the bioload. Can't wait to see the ideas that may end up posted here!

Everything in my tank is my clean up crew. My fish will pick stuff off the floor, with the cory's and my snail cleans whatever the heck he wants to clean.

Cherry shrimp, MTS, ramshorn snails and my mystery snail keep things spotless in my 29g. The ghost shrimp and MTS keep the 10 clean.

Be careful mixing cherry shrimp with ghosts. They aren't above eating the cherries.

Amano shrimp have a very tiny effect on the bioload and do a great job cleaning up! They eat algae too!

A variety of cory's and a mystery snail for my 29 gallon. My cherry barbs and guppies will also eat from the bottom occasionally.

A lone mystery snail for my 5 gallon betta tank. My betta doesn't let anything hit the ground...but this tank gets a lot of algae which my snail absolutely loves!

Me too. Corydoras, nerite snails, maylasian trumpet snails, and fish.
Nothing gets wasted in my tanks.

My siphon I have to use 2-3 times per week. My cichlids poo at an alarming rate.

depends on which tank
the africans have the services of a BN and me of course
The community tank has cories and me a little but honestly cories are pretty good little cleaners
the convicts are on their own ( they like it that way
And the Discus depend on me to keep it clean.

I keep RCS in my 10 gallon with fancy Guppies and Cory's in my 37 and 55. MTS in all of them. Every morning when I get up and feed them, the sand looks pretty clean. I have Otto's in my 37 that was a reaction to algae spots on the glass after upgrading my lighting on it to T5-HO, but I learned the hard way that they don't eat it. Been feeding them blanched zucchinI on a vegetable clip and I'm now trying to grow algae on smooth rocks in my window in a spare 10 gallon for them.

What do you guys have for cleaning crews? My 29 gallon has a pretty well rounded clean up crew, corys, mystery snails and a rubber lip pleco. I do everything in my 10g male betta's (divided) tank because they attack their snail "friends"

First, what? And second, congrats for 500 posts.

My hands are my clean up crew. I have a small betta tank and I don't think he would tolerate tank mates anyway. Thank you!

I have 2 peppered cories and 2 horned snails...
I don't mean to be a pest, and I'm sure you know this, but peppered corys (all corys) should be in a group of at least 6. Personally my peppered corys are in a group of 4 right now, and they're doing great, but I wouldn't keep them in groups smaller than that

I have cories, kuhli loaches, a bn, a clown pleco, mystery snails, nerite snails, rabbit snails, a horned pagoda snail, and probably some pest snails too.
Did I mention I have a lot of snails?

I like the bottom dweller as well. It is fun to look for them. I dug a little hole In the gravel and put a little piece of driftwood over it so i can look at my 3 kuhlis
