What's Wrong With My Yoyo Loach? Lays down on his side

Just got him yesterday with a bunch of other YoYo loaches. He started behaving like this today, he would just lay down on his side.

Water Parameters are 0.00, 0.00 and 10ppm.

He was eating earlier and 8 hours later he started laying down

What should I do?

awwww grrrr. I'd euthanise it and keep a very close eye on the others for signs of disease.
Sorry man !

Why should I euthanize it? Isn't he probably like this because of stress?

Whenever I try to catch him he goes back to normal and then after 10-15 minutes he goes back to being like this.

He looks perfectly fine on the outside.

No, the one with the injury is perfectly fine, he's shoaling with the other 2 YoYos.

Mmm that worries me.

Do they rest on their sides like clown loaches do?

Regardless, it's too early to consider euthanasia.

They do from time to time.

How about this. I'll do a water change tomorrow, 50% and I'll check on how he is tomorrow. Should I remove him from the breeder net or no?

I was just going to ask, are you sure hes not clowning you ? I haven't kept yoyo's so I wasn't sure if they did it aswell, I figured it might have been common for most loaches.

I would remove him from the breeder net, it will probably increase stress being stuck in there.

If they do, it wouldn't rest in this situation. Possibly true, but fish on their side is a small step from death I'd say.
But maybe I am wrong (hoping)

Alright, but after 10 minutes he keeps on repeating the same thing.

Yeah, that does seem pretty excessive. It's weird because he looks relatively healthy and has strong markings in the photo.

I'm stumped sorry.

What do you recommend me doing?

It's true that a loach wouldn't be resting on its side shortly after being captured. Usually, watching a fish's respiration will give you an idea how it's doing.

It could be stress but it's a bit strange that it was OK for the first 8 hours...almost like it doesn't like something in its new environment.

Have you tested pH?

Are you using any glutaraldehyde-containing products such as:
Easy Life Easy Carbo
Seachem Flourish Excel
API CO2 Booster
Azoo Carbon Plus
Cidex
Metricide?

UPDATE:
He just died a few minutes ago, I'm down to 3 YoYo loaches now, 4 including my bigger and older one.

Should I do a complete water change?
My PH is about 7.0-7.1.
Do you guys recommend doing anything to prevent my other fish from falling to the same fate?

When I first brought them in I gave them a 15 minute methylene blue bath, and after that I dosed 1/2 dosing of ParaGuard to their QT tank.

Do only meds that are dosed in the tank are Seachem Prime and ParaGuard

Did you check the parameters between the water they came from and yours? Worth checking. The two biggies would be ph and GH.

What was your acclimation like?

No, in fact I didn't check. I flotaed the bags in the QT tank and moved some of the water from the QT tank to the water where I dipped them in methylene blue.

Do I need to do anything to be safe?
Should I do a decent percentage of water change?

When fish die rapidly after being moved I usually suspect osmotic shock. Next time I'd compare the two different water parameters and base your speed of introduction on that. For instance if the ph or gh is vastly different then I usually take at least 30 minutes. I pour them into a container and then every 5 minutes I add about 1/4 cup of my water to theirs. Its fine to have the couple drops of meth blue in with them while doing this as it only helps.

A water change won't help after the fact in this scenario.

Isn't it strange CindI that it took more than 8 hours if it was shock?
