One of my cories (not sure if it’s a false or real julii) has a whitish area and I don’t know what it is. It’s very active, playing with its friends and eating. None of the other cories have this.

White patches like that often appear with columnaris which is bad. I recommend you treat the tank with Maracyn 2 or triple sulfa medication while it's in its early stages. One of my cories (not sure if it’s a false or real julii) has a whitish area and I don’t know what it is. I don't think so with thee Maracyn 2, but the triple sulfa medication might. Read both lables carefully before purchase. Unfortunately Columnaris is a very stong bacteria that is hard to treat as it is. I also think Furan 2 will work as well.Thank you. If I treat the entire tank does that mean I lose the cycle?
Is it possible that this guy got himself in a tight spot and has just scraped himself. I would want to be totally sure that it isn't just an injury that will heal with pristine water before I would add medications as a precaution.
as always just my humble opinion
I would give it a few more days and hopefully someone else has seen this same thing and will stop by with more information. I am not saying that it isn't Columnaris but it seem like lately every time a problem is posted it is automatically diagnosed as Columnaris. How long should I wait? He is the only cory sick and acting normal. I moved them to this tank from another one last week and they’ve been spawning so there is a lot of chasing going on.
