Thanks!

It looks like fuzzy white patches. Maybe a fungal disease called cotton wool disease? Another member will have to confirm that. Meanwhile, here’s a website that will tell you all about cotton wool disease including symptoms, causes, and treatment.

It doesn't seem to have gotten any worse in the past couple days... Guess I should stick him in quarantine and dose with some fungus cure just to be safe...

Fairly new beginner here, is it necessary to dose for fungus infections ? If it hasn't got any worse is it treatable with good water changes and time? Best not to dose medications if you don't have to, if not then have at it.

I wonder the same thing, but I went ahead and put him in quarantine and dosed with Methylene Blue

Good luck to you man hope your little guy pulls through and is back to himself asap. I read the article posted above and looks like it can be deadly so dosing was probably best. My Cory's wish your cory a swift return to normal!

If it looks fuzzy then likely a fungal infection .
If the white patches look smooth to the surface of fish likely a bacterial issue and antibiotics are the treatment.

Looked pretty smooth to me... what antibiotics are good to dose? Erythromycin?

If it looks smooth then good luck. I culled all but one sterbaI from my school when something similar popped up. Tried everything I could think of and it wouldnt go away. I may have just gotten a super strain but antibiotics, antifungal, heat, salt, malachite green, methylene blue, and ich-x didnt work. I hope you fair better
