Hey all! See photos (some blurrier than others, she's fast!!)

My young female betta named "Feisty" just developed a big patch of discoloration on her back pretty much overnight. See photos. It's not cottony or showing signs of visible parasites, just white-ish discoloration, like a large area of faded scales.

I don't think it's ich because it's such a large patch? I have some malachite green if it is ich. However, the last time I used this for another fish it killed one of my shrimp. If I transfer her to to a bowl, I can treat her separately than my others, but it's a very small bowl, maybe a couple gallons.

I'm wondering if anybody can recommend a treatment plan or if they have an idea what this might be?

Thank you so much for your help!!

If you think it might be a bacterial or fungal disease then I highly recommend Seachem . It's incredibly simple to use and it's a bit more expensive than other medicine, but completely worth it. I've used it several times with amazing results.
