What's Up With This Ranchu?

So, he's got little white spots. And before everyone starts yelling Ich, let me say why I don't think it's Ich.
Got these guys two Tuesdays ago (I think) and this little Ranchu had two white spots on his head. Not a big deal, figured it was wen growth. A few days later, I saw one pop. Nasty. Basically like a pimple (sorry for grossness).
Now he has five. They are raised and change size and shape frequently, I mean within a few minutes, and almost seem to be oozing. In the two weeks I've had them, they have stayed on the wen area, the first one is smaller, and none of the others in the tank are showing any signs of anything. There was 1tbsp of salt in the tank to begin with, it has been reduced by water changes. They just get kinda fluffy and detach, sometimes after just an hour

Thanks, but it's not a hole in the head, it's raised white spots that come off every hour or so and they aren't laterally aligned.

if its just on the wen, then most likely wen growth according to several other sites.
That's what I was thinking, but does it normally come off? I saw a piece come off and tried to grab it to take a pic, but once out of the water it's entirely clear and very slimy, like the slime coat?
If it helps, I think these guys were imported from China

"Fancy Goldfish: A complete guide to care and collecting" by Dr. Erik L. Johnson and Richard E. Hess. This is what it says:

"Orandas and other capped varieties of goldfish sometimes develop white pustules on their headgrowth. Many people are deeply concerned about this condition, and still more will treat the fish with caustic remedies, compounding the fishes' stress. In most cases such capped fish have extensive headgrowth. The fish will usually be well fed on a variety of foods, and well kept in general. Still, there will be small white tufts of 'fluff' nestled deep in the head cap. In some cases, there are as many as four to five little spots of 'infection'.

A microscopic biopsy of these tufts of white material reveals an abundant number of red and white blood cells. There are no fungal elements and usually no bacteria are detected. This common phenomenon lacks a verifiable explanation, but the current theory is that during the most active phases of the development of headgrowth, there is probably a deficiency of blood flow to supply the increasing mass of tissue and the crevices in the headgrowth show this strain in the form of a low-grade infection or even avascular necrosis. Goldfish with headgrowth pimples but that are otherwise doing well should be closely observed but not medicated. Of course check to be certain that your water quality is optimal, but do not medicate for this condition." (page 51)
White patch on oranda wen?

joy1125 "A lot of people get worried when they see white tufts or a whitish color on their orandas wen. They assume it's fungus, but it's not. It's really very common, my own orandas have had white "tufts" on their wens. It's very natural for young orandas, as the wen grows."

I just learned about grooming ranchu's.

Top View Ranchu grooming - Site for Goldfish Keepers

"very low water levels are preferred to encourage strong horizontal swimming. This encourages a strong, defined peduncle, which the ranchu is so known for."
