MANY people on Fishlore (not to say everyone ), recommend the API Freshwater Master test kit, asuming you have a freshwater tank. I don't live in the USA, but I guess many chain stores should have this product.

I would say the API Freshwater test kit.

There are better, but the best bang for your buck is definitely the API kits. Do yourself a favor and go purchase a baby syringe to fill your test tubes. You can find it at any pharmacy.

+1 to the syringe!!! I used to spend more time getting the right amount of water than I spent testing! LOL. Very good advice 11599.

Agreed API is a good deal. Shop around though, I found it for half the price online at aquarium guys than what petco or petsmart was selling it for. Search around for coupon codes too, at one point you could request one just for being a member of a forum. (I don't remember which one sorry)

Good morning,
Some WalMarts may carry the API kit too for around $20. I use the API kit.

+1 on API, Sailifert also has excellent products recommend to me by reef guys. A bit on the pricey side though. Most online retailers sell them.

I use the API kit also (last quite a long time and accurate) along with the Baby Syringe that CM mentioned (free if you ask the pharmacist) it's perfect for filling the test tubes with just the right amount of water also for sucking out a little water to defrost BloodWorms and Brine or Mysis Shrimp also. Those baby syringes are quite useful.

LOL. Wow it's funny I have been going through all that trouble trying to fill those test tubes up at the line. I've had a baby syringe around here from cycling with pure ammonia for a while. That's why I love it here on FL you never stop learning.
