What’s the best temp for Bolivian Rams?

Hello all,

I recently bought 5 Bolivian rams from my (family run) local fish store.
They are usually extra knowledgeable and informed me that 77-79 would be just fine for Bolivian Rams.
my tank is usually between 77 at the absolute lowest (though I bumped the temp up a bit) 79.5 at the highest but usually right around 78F.

Is this temp safe for my Bolivian Rams?
please check my stock list for my 75 gallon under aquarium details in my bio.
I am trying to keep the temp safe for my community fish as well!

Advice is very much appreciated!

The 77 would be closer to ideal for them than the 79. But you're safe around there. Some of your stock has a more ideal temperature closer to 75 and others closer to 80 so it doesn't really channge any of the dynamics with temperature.

Also can I ask which of my stock you feel prefers closer to 80? I thought 78F was around ideal for all the other fish. Thanks for you help!

Bolivians my favorite fish, I have breed and raised hundreds at 78' with no issues. The rest of your stock should be fine also.

Good Luck!

I've kept mine at a range of 88-72, the higher part of the spectrum was unintentional by my part. But they went on fine for the being, practically bulletproof fish. 78 is great for them but personally I like to keep mine at 74-76.

Thanks for the reply! Maybe I’ll lower the temp by 1 degree
